The End of a Saga

Yeah, so this is the actual author of this blog. I am actually updating myself this time!

Right now, I'm in between jobs. I just clocked out at SCBC (ask is you don't know what this is, but I doubt you would be reading this blog if you didnt) and have a tiny break until 4 pm, when I ride my bike (I'm so cool!) to Big Lots for a 6-hour shift. This is my second 14-hour day, so I'm sure to be absolutely exhausted tonight. I'm going to try to ride my bike home tonight; all the way up the hill! That probably won't help my already tired legs, but no pain, no gain!

Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith was awesome! Some of my favorite things: all the (sometimes and sometimes not) thinly veiled references to (mostly) Return of the Jedi by the Emperor and Anakin/Darth Vader; the scene where the demonic Gollum-like Anakin screams "I hate you" at his close friend, Obi-Wan; the opening space battle was huge and I wish I could have seen more, but I guess the point was to show the most important part of the whole battle; when Anakin and Obi-Wan board General Grievous' ship and "save" Chancellor Palpatine. His chair turns around exactly as it did in ROJ and the whole room very closely resembles the Emperor's throneroom aboard the second Death Star; and of course, Yoda fighting. Oh, and when Yoda says bye to Chewbacca. Yeah, that was cool.

So, I'm a nerd, and I've declared it to the world. But I do not care, for I love Star Wars, and that's the way it is.

Tomorrow, after sleeping in, Amy and I plan on going for a hike (a la Israel memories) at Placerita State Park before I have to work at SCBC, setting up for church after the school play ends. That should be interesting.

I'm tired, but God has graciously answered my prayers for strength.

Hodu L'Adonai key tov!

Keeping busy

Since it has been over two weeks since Happy has posted, I thought I'd fill you in on what he's been up to... for those of you who don't already know.

Finals week was busy since he began taking on the role of RA in checking out guys from Hotchkiss. Since then he's been busy working two jobs, one at church and the other back at Big Lots. Tuesday he worked 7 am-3:30 pm at church and then 4-10 pm at Big Lots. Crazy. Keep him in your prayers since he's working two jobs that can be pretty physically demanding.

Last night we saw Star Wars Episode III at 12:01 am, so I guess that would be this morning. He didn't have to go in to work until 11 am, which was pretty nice, but he was going to work later in order to make up hours he missed in the morning. Mike drove back last night at 3 am to Santa Maria because he had a class early this morning. Yikes. I hope he got back safely! I would imagine that once Happy gets the chance, he'll write more about Episode III. :-)

Alright, class time! Have a lovely evening, God bless!

Long Week

OK, once again, I apologize for the lack of postingness on my end. I could try to pin it on any number of things, but when it comes down to it. . . it's just laziness.

Sooooo. . . what's happened since I last posted? Well, Amy and I went to an Angels vs. A's game in Anaheim. It was a lot of fun (even though the A's lost 1-0 in a pitcher's duel) and Amy really enjoyed her first EVER Major League Baseball game. We were five rows up from the right-centerfield fence, so they were pretty nice seats for a cheap couple like us!

After that, we went to Downtown Disney for a while. There, we checked out the Rainforest Cafe, which is a restaurant designed to make you feel like you're in an ancient temple somewhere in the Amazon. There is a giant fishtank in which several species of fish reside, but sadly, no piranhas. We went to the Lego store and got pictures with some interesting characters. It was a lot of fun just strolling around, looking at things too expensive to buy.

Since then, there's been a lot of homework. And this is the LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL, so it is officially the toughest week of the semester. But if I were to really think that through, another week may actually take the cake. However, since I decide who gets the cake (cheesecake, of course), I will say that this week is the hardest.

Off to bed. Will post soon.
What if I did an entire post like a telegram?
Hmm. . . interesting.
