Day Two
Hi . . . thank you Dan. So my first full day in Massachusetts consisted of only local stuff. It was New Years' Eve, so we didn't want to tire ourselves out for staying up to ring in 2006. It snowed!
One thing I didn't really consider is how much ice there is. I slip and fall and trip enough as it is, but on the ice it's ten times worse. So far, I've avoided falling on my face. OK, except for when I went out the marshy stream area to try to crack the ice with my weight.
That was whole bunches of fun. Later on, it snowed several inches, so we went out and had a huge snowball fight, followed by me making a snow angel, JUST FOR MY FAVORITEST AUNT KATHY -
Amy and I climbed a tree after we went with Dan to the river to try to crack more ice. We ended up only cracking Dan's head and my knee. Then, we watched Back to the Future, watched the Raiders lose another game, and counted down the new year. It was a relaxing day, but I'm itching to go see bigger and better things. I guess today was a "quaint" New England day.

Pop-pop and Patty (my grandpa and his wife) came this day too... that's why we stayed around and played in the snow. Pop-pop and Patty are looking forward to getting to know you a little better when we go down to Connecticut on Thursday :-)
